When banknotes & paper currency first issued in New Zealand in 1934, it brought economic ambition to Aotearoa. Mr Dollar then introduced Kiwi's to decimal currency in1967. Fast forward to today, Liquidus presents a new form of a (digital) wallet that is about to emerge in New Zealand, and the NZ Government's Digital Identity Trust Framework is welcoming this parallel.
The Trust Framework has been tasked to "accelerate the development and uptake of digital identity services that are secure, trusted and interoperable."

These parallels are not only interesting from a historical perspective, they underscore the significant impact Liquidus could have on New Zealand and the rest of the world. Use of Liquidus in NZ and, in time, internationally, has real-world commercial implications that extend far beyond the technocratic spheres of digital identity, monetary policy and application software.

For any company that does or wants to do business in New Zealand or with Kiwi individuals and companies, now is the time to start thinking about Liquidus and its implications.
